Bükkösd Ecopark

Guests may take a look at the animals living in a system of holding pens, which are set up in a valley in the territory of this 550-hectare park, or explore our nature trails. Here visitors can see several Hungarian and indigenous animal species, such as gray cattle, racka sheep (known for their unusual spiral-shaped horns), horses, mangalica pigs or buffaloes. Tourists may observe the life of poultry in the poultry yard, or, owing to the glass-walled hives, watch tiny bees busying themselves. In the smaller gardens, Hungary’s indigenous big game species can be observed at close quarters. The Ecopark offers accommodation of different types and standards.
