Bust of historian Istvánffy Miklós

Istvánffy Miklós historian, in his work "The history of Hungarians" in the border fortress battles fitting memorial to the heroes set. The modern approach in finding unexplained events in a picturesque description of the siege of Szigetvár year 1566, which the poet Miklós Zrínyi also drew extensively. Miklós Istvánffy himself witnessed the XVI. century border castle struggles. During his youth Miklós Zrinski, the fortress island knights were on duty. Nicholas Isvánffy statue unveiled in front of the entrance to Castle Museum, on 8 December 1968. The statue was created by Anna Karpati.
